I'ma have a look at them now... LOL
It's good that you're in a position to pick up bargains like that. Good stuff.
Haha, yeah, good point. I think customs is prolly gonna start hitting us for GST now which could be a fly in the ointment too...
I got a rough price from a dealer for the parts for my RMZ and it was roughly 2k NZ$. I'm pretty sure I can beat that out of the US with out trying too hard.
Bikes are hellishly expensive brand new too, which doesn't help. There's better than average odds that my next new bike will be coming from the US. If a few more people did that it might send a message to the importers and dealers.
He's implying that it costs roughly 3k NZ$ to rebuild a current 4 stroke MXer at retail prices.
NZ just spent $500 on his 125 and with his labour it will be just like a new one.
Basically he's calling 4 stroke riders (like me) idiots... LOL (depending on how far you want to read into it...)
Actually, it's quite good putting words in other peoples mouths... LOL
As it happens, I may be an idiot. I just shelled out $1200 US on the partshark website last night to get some parts on the way for my RMZ. Just genuine Zook parts, nothing too flash.
Cheers to NZrider and Masterlink for the advice on the project. They're good bastards.
