I think im going to go me a cr500.I been wanting a 2 stroke I really wanted a smaller play bike, the crf450 just dont have that pep to it.its a heavy bike and the power just dont feel like its there to me. unfortunately ill be stuck with the 450 but I mite eventually make it a moto.im not caring about the top speed of a bike I want that snap n the crf just dont have it,,what do u think

I think you're not opening the throttle fast enough.

I dont care what nobady says,a 250 2stroke leave a 450 off jump the 450 has faster top speed, theg say 450 has more torque but its bull.theres 50 of us that ride and there's 450,s of most kind, the 250s leave us,on jump.

There getting u at the gate BC there ripping off in the power immediately, but its all they got. Trust me if 250s 2s had an advantage over the 450s there would be way more pros riding them.

That 500 is rediculous, all I can say is make sure ur health insurance paid up.

If a 250 is beating a 450 off the line the 450 rider's probably not very good.

I had a 500 years ago,,the pros stopped useing them because Honda n Yamaha was killing the game and the other companies put a lot of pressure on them

The 500 class was dumped because suzuki and yamaha didn't have competitive bikes and weren't making money off of it.

Well I like 4 strokes.  Like seriously, low end torque + decent/good top end.  I could ride this bike all day if I didn't feel guilty that it wasn't mine + I don't have a job.

if you want a 450 with snap and heaps of power go for a pre 2006 model. they were snappy horrible over powered things when they first got developed. manufacturers have spent the last few years trying to make the power delivery more controllable. snappy bikes arent easy to ride.

Well first it's not my bike, 2nd I can't pay for gas since i don't have a job, 3rd riding all day by yourself is no fun, mostly though its not my bike.  If I can sell some of my stuff hopefully it will be my bike then, cuz I really like it.

Terrain plays a part to a good degree concerning a 250 2t and a 450 4t off the line. Hard pack v. soft v. mid will make a difference in take off. Not to mention tire tread and wear. many things have an effect and must e taken into account.
