Well u need a owners manual (or at least a wiring diagram) and a multimeter. Trace the power from the starting point (battery) to the end (coil) an see where it stops. My guess would be a faulty crank position sensor, or a bad ground. If u bought used parts don't rule those out until u check em.

Http://stores.Ebay.com/svenneos-store/ATV-parts/i.html?_fsub=856779017 they have everything for your bike, new wire harness is only 20 bucks.but you do know most like 99% of them pitbikes can fit honda parts, the old honda parts, like z50 parts. Honda sold they're old motor design to China years ago and they ran with it. I know a few dudes that ride pit bikes that put honda parts on it soon as they get it. if you open it up if will fly, they have a ton of restricturs on them so they will pass emissions when they are sent over here,I have a X18 pocket bike 110 cc .I can get about 55 mph out of it with me on it bone stock.

Umm I hate to say but the bike gets all it electrical power from the battery. The rectifier and stator are just part of the charging system. It kindof a side circuit that constantly checks battery voltage and either sends it to battery or sends it to ground depending on the current battery charge level at that moment. It really should have no affect on whether or not u have spark. All vehicles different but that generally how it would work. I.e. if ur battery good and charging system bad the bike should run till battery is dead.

To get spark the power goes from battery to cdi and the cdi should take its cue to send power to the coil via some type of crank position sensor. I.e. when cdi gets signal from sensor it opens the circuit between battery and coil. I'm sure it slightly more complex but that's the basics.

That kinda why the diagram useful BC ud check battery (should be 12+ volts) then you'd check main power wire at the cdi. If it makes it there then next step, if not inspect that wire. Next step would be figuring out where cdi gets it signal from, crank position sensor (or w/e) follow manual as to how to check it. If bad replace (inspect wires first) if not then check the power that goes to coil ect.

not all ignition systems work like that Marky. some ignition systems have independent windings on the stator for battery charging and ignition.  it is possible the stator is faulty

Well he has the stator out I figure just a visual inspection should say if it bad or not. If windings in good condition then it should be fine. Correct me if I'm wrong but if it was bad at least one set of windings should black charred melted something like that?

Guess there are a few tests he could do on it but without a manual.... kinda difficult.
  • where can i get a manual its a china quad
  • and also what else can i really replace other than the wiring harness

Dont keep buying stuff, take your tester and start at the batterie and work your way down.its hard to find certain things for them bikes. I'll see if I can find you a diagram for your wiring

take your tester and work your way back. there could be a short, loose connection.bad ground anything. make sure your battery is fully charged. if you have to take a razor blade and put little slit in wire coating to test it. electrical tape when you're done. or silicone

have the ignition turned on. do not let two wires touch. don't laugh but my raptor did this. my little brother messed with it and after he did there was no spark.I flipped slap him around,it took me 3 days to figure out the fuse blew. my brother's destructive, he takes everything apart. he 16 year old mechanic. I'll let him ride it he had no business messing with anything. he took off on it,hour later some guy towed him back,

  • ok well i check this website like every hour or so so that can give you an idea how often you can check my multimeter has many settings and not sure what one to use so we will start there and also do you want me to put the magneto back on the atv and also i have no key so... could i maybe just completly remove the ignition switch or would that be my problem right there? also if you would prefer you can email me @ keithflaro@live.ca or just write on here i check my emails every 1/2 hour or so.

Yeah, pop the ignition turn it on and leave it that way. that's probably your problem. if the ignition is off then bike cant start.... I lost the keys to the crf 50 1 time, Pop ignition Faceplate off and turn with screwdriver.. the multimeter is simple. look at your battery see what the voltage is put it on that,, 6 to 12 volts it's somewhere in there. probably 12. just take the meter touch the battery. if the light comes on thats all we need. put everything back on it you took off. the same way it came off. where the key goes into the ignition dig in it intill you can turn it with a flathead screwdriver.. if I woulda known as from the beginning I would have had you do that first.. don't worry bout the meter right now. put the bike back together like it was pop the ignition. turn it on with a screwdriver and always leave it on. you could have bought a ignition for like 20 bucks.but for now just pop the front off

You could try replacing the bike with one that runs. Or replacing yourself with someone that knows what they're doing. I've given u the advice u need to actually diagnose the problem. Replacing parts blindly is a noobs solution. If u did what I said it would be fixed by now. You most likely have a bad ground burnt wire or a fried connector. Only way to find it is to trace the power flow. Its tedious but very simple. Now stop whining about it an do it. Noone gona come there an do it for you.
  • ok well i started doing that then i dropped my multimeter and it broke like the screen is screwed up and a new 1 is 40 bucks so i was thinking what else it would be and what do you mean replace it with one that runs like buy a new one im not gonna do that because i just baught this bike
