I'm not to experience with big jumps,

Ride the track enough to memorize it.  but don't rent it , just pay to ride all day, don't they have a daily rate to ride?

Nothing to be nervous about. Just ride in your comfort zone and have fun.

    That's what it's all about anyway......Fun!

$40 no membership fee.  10.15 c and d class' $40 is a rip off.  Who do the think they are, can a track have an inflated ego.lol

are you going along to try to win or are you going along to learn to race? personally think you shouldnt go to your first race with the intention of winning. you should ride at about 80% effort as your less likely to hurt yourself or wreck something on the bike this way. the other key thing is to watch other riders who pass you and try to see what they're doing different to you to be faster. really think about how you're riding instead of just riding as fast as you can.

I was hitting some jumps yesterday, nothing the size of the ones at the track,my lil homeboy jumped about 15 feet landed on the front tire all I seen was his neck twist, hes hurt but ok Shorty has some heart will jump anything,I have his wreck on vid,,on his gopro the jump was too steep it just shot you straight up,I wouldnt hit it.he landed on his helmet, I got that hill I crashed on,I just gunned it im ready to go to this track im hoping my mounts come for my camera, there on backorder still. I haven't took the camera out since I bought it.im pretty good with corners and ruts so I can hold my own with that.its just the big jumps man.my buddy mike raced at Budds Creek for years,he said the vet class is fast some of them guys are cool with the owner of the track and run it evryweek, that's a big disadvantage,I have to get on that track,im not going here to just ride in the race and be a part of it,im going to make a statement,im going to go 100%, when I hit my jumps I always throttle and it throws me back, I was practicing jumps at the quarry and sand hills but it was to soft to get any air

Honestly there gona be dudes that know that track like the back of there hand and others that have been racing there whole lives. Id agree with NZ on this one have fun an be safe. As far as making a statement ..... I'd personally be happy with not finishing dead last. But even finishing last is better than not finishing at all an smashing ur bike up an possibly ending up in the er.

  • NZriderNZrider

every race you should bleed the air out of your forks

Is there a beginner class?  Maybe Novice?  You can't practice race pace, something happens when the gate drops that is beyond explanation, focus on control  even if it means backing off a bit.

ya need to have all the weight off the forks so they're at full extension then just take the bleed screw out then put it back in. they dont need to be very tight at all as they have a tendency to lock in there pretty tight

I mite have to postpone and catch the next 1.today I was out riding and I stop to wait on someone. I check my chain it had about 3 and a half inches of play over what I had,on it, my back rim mite be shot , there's about a half inch play in Rim from spokes. I check them before I went riding and it was fine, I want up a mountain side and heard a shader.and a,clink clink and my bike like Rode grabbed rode and grabbed then stalled, I don't know man and the Kickstarter has play in it,seems like my bike is falling apart.I have to do a 100% complete tare down befor I get back on it..I did get some nice jumps today,on a table top made of sand,it wasnt to soft so it was nice.when I went to the regular jumps I made a few mistakes I release the throttle rate befor I hit the top but it through my rear up and did a nose dive a few times but never dropped it.i did get a few nice smooth jumps in.im hoping just spokes need tightened but it has alot of play, you know im sure you all are tired of hearing me cry about this bike but im telling you nothing was assembled right on it,its a piece of s***.

Is your front sprocket worn out?  They wear out quicker than you might think and they make exactly that kind of noise, when they're shot.  Front sprockets are relatively cheap too, prolly 20 bucks for genuine...

I'd give your spokes a good tighten too, if you leave them too long, they'll wreck your rim.  If you have to, take your tire off to get a better shot at tightening them.

If you can't fix it with vicegrips and/or a sledge hammer, it ain't worth fixing...

I would bet Maple's virginity that it's your front sprocket.  They last about 25 hours on my RMZ and that sounds like the hours you've prolly turned over with it.

Ill replace the chain and both sprockets,I cant see the front sprocket, because of the chain guard,I hope that's what the shatter was

Sean with a new bike you really need to stay on top of the spokes for the first few rides. Honda recently has had a few bikes that were worse than usual.

If the rim is really off get it trued and tightened at a  shop it will be less expensive than a truing stand unless you plan on going into business.

I called a shop to have my spokes Tighten they said 75$ hour and about 2 hours for both rims..so were looking at 150$ to have spokes tighten up..does this sound crazy? Or is this about right.I never had this done I use to have a friend that did all this for free when I had my last dirt bike.then I got into 4 wheelers..150 dollars to tighten up spokes sounds flat out crazy to me

and they keep saying I probably need new bearings.. my bike is only a couple months old. if the bearings went bad that quick something is seriously wrong,my bearings are fine. I'm telling you this place is crooked as s***.. I do not trust them to work on my bike. unfortunately this is the only shop around, you know its sad you have to worry about shit like this from a dealer

what else can I do, I don't have a torque wrench for my spokes, I've never done it before. you know every time I go to the shop I always throw the guy thats does what I need a 10,,,20 dollar tip in hope they will do right by me,,this shop has no good reviews.. the guy that works in accessories is awesome.good peoples but the rest of them are crooks..

and I wrote Honda headquarters about my experience buying this bike from there,,so I can only imagine what they would do to my bike..ill flip if they purposely did something to my bike.I would need bail money..this is crazy
