i got a 2002 honda xr200r as my first dirtbike last week, and i havent even rode it yet because it needed to be bored and needs new gaskets and needs new rings so i cant ride it until Friday/Saturday (Feb 15/16) so anyone got any first time tips? im 14 and i am 6' and 200 pounds. i dont have any gear or anything just a bike heres some pics, and also i picked it up for 600$ do you think it was a good price? all gaskets & pistons and getting it bored is about 225$

If ur 14 6' tall an weigh 200lbs. I hope ur in the football program at ur school.

My advice is hold on tight and aim away from the trees.

Thats not a bad deal IMO. Because its and 02 and once you rebuild it, That thing will be good for anothre 200hrs or so. XR's are great bikes, just make sure to change the oil every 3 rides or so and air filter if you can clean it after every ride or every other ride and that thing will keep going like new for a long time.

Thanks for the advice. I dont ride for a long time just in my woods and such. @yz250f4ever. And @markyxrocks I played 7th and 8th this year but I'm not playing freshman.
