Hey sean I am alex the guy who helpped you through e-mail with your CRF80. my opinion about your CRF250R is instead of selling the thing you just went though all that trouble with the dealership with and spent all that money on. Why dont you tailor it towards the trails? Drop your rear sprocket 3-4 teeth, get some weight added to your fly wheel,  etc... Your bike should have came with different mapping chips plug the mellowest one in. these are all things that can help make your bike more tameable in the trails. because I dont think you know the hit your gonna take if you sell it, just my $0.02..................Alex

What leaked out of the bike, it was not coolant not gas,, it was tranny oil or motor oil I check the motor oil it seem like there was more in there then what was befor, is it possible the gear oil went to other side

Can I lower this bike 6 inches

Why u want to lower it? You may drop it 6 inches if u put ur daughter's 80 wheels on it.

Its so high I have to lean it going slow on trails put my foot down front tire slide n I have to keep muscleing 300 lb,s if I could lower it it would be so much easyer for me,im about 6 foot and I have to lean it to touch ground on uneven terrain, when your ridding you dont put your legs straight down you put them out some away from pegs n all if I could lower it I could control it alot easyer,, I came off the train tracks through a ditch steep bank the bike stalled n I could not reach the ground so I dropped it, there was no trail I was making one through the brush. It would be better to control if lowered I was just wondering if this could be done,6inches is alot what if I get a lower seat foam??

my daughter made me proud, at first she kept stalling, poping clutch not enough gas but after hour or so she did good man,I was loving it she had a great time, you know first gear on that 80 is faster then first on mine, top speed first is

They prolly make a lowering linkage for rear end, but I've heard those make it bottom out easier. To lower the front just loosen nuts on tripple tree an slide forks up.

I dont want to lose travel where it will bottom on me the stock suspension works perfect for my weight I was wondering if I can lower with out sacrificing the suspension what if I lower the triple and change seat??

Well lowering the front an not the back is going to drastically change the handling of the bike. Unless u understand ergonomics you either need to physically lower front and back the same or just shave seat an that's it.

The rear shock can be shortened but it still gona bottom out easier.

You have to be a lil more specific as to what's happening. Is it not turning over? Is it lurching forward? Is it turning but just wont start?

No it starts fine but sometimes if im in first and hold clutch it wont start I put it in neutral it fires up.sometimes it will sometimes it won't start when its in gear

Idk why I keep thinking it electric start. I got to many vehicles on my mind I'm getting confused. I'm just glad my street bikes an my quad essentially have same motors.

No,there 16000 cant afford it I have to pay my bike off.work has been to a creep for me.i would like to have one for mud n trails but ill keep my bike,if I do get a 4 wheeler it will have to be used.it hurts to watch a new bike slide down a hill hurts ever worse to buy new parts,I washed everything I seen I ripped my chest protector.ooouch keeping it fresh just aint going to work for me,it is what it is sunday I will go back to the hill if my parts are in by then its personal. I know I can make it I think I put too much thought into it last time, more throttle less thinking. extended swing arm would have got me there but I can get it. that's the biggest hill around here I have to get it rate now im 0/1

I just Express my ups n downs, at least I ride. people are always asking about how this bike work for trails how that bike works for trails so I post my experiences.that's not what the bike is for but I do it. it's like taking my tahoe to the drag strip, not meant for that but who knows why not

6" is an insane amount to lower a bike. You won't like it. It completely changes he dynamic of the machine. I'm 5'8" and I don't lower my bikes. At 6' you shouldn't have a problem especially once the suspension is fully broken in. You can get a lowering link for the rear, but it drops it about an inch to an inch and an inch and a half at most.

You can tailor your bike to trails if you want... Change the fly wheel to a heavier one (13 oz or so), change the gearing and consider putting an 18" rear wheel on. Baja designs makes lighting kits for that bike too if that's something you're interested in, but most likely you'll need a need stator or your rewound.

Ill let the suspension break in then and then ill determine if I like it,as of now I would be happy with 3 inches.
