I'm looking at buying a '04 YZ250 for dirt cheap only issue I know of so far is the crankcase by the sprocket is cracked. Would it be worth it to still purchase and either have welded or just completely replace? In the process of finding out if there are in other issues. But as of now seems like a good deal to me.

I'm thinking that u could do any of the above. I've definitely even heard of people using jb weld as a temp fix. Id personally just buy a used cheap motor on eBay. Prolly could find one that needs top end work for 3-400$ tops. Either swap heads or use it for the case.

$800. I'm not sure haven't had a chance to check it out. How would you tell if it's bent?
