Been a while since I posted some ride photos...

    Hey Everyone!

So I used to post ride photos all the time, but it's been a while.  Here is my most recent riding trips:  New Years weekend in the Spangler Hills, and Martin Luther King Jr. Day in California City :)  We spent 5 days camping in the desert over New Years so there was a ton of debauchery and fun!  Enjoy!

Planting Christmas trees for future burning:

    Christmas tree fire!

    image

We decided to build a bar…No New Years is complete without drinks!
    image

Jessie and I made the sign
    image

It turned out pretty rad (we burnt it the last day)
    image

Once the bar was done, Dad and I took some of the ladies out for a nice little ride…this is me cruising and making weird faces at my Pops

    My grandpa being a badass

The next day we did our "big" ride…a couple of us rode to Death Valley and back, about 120 mile trip.  Here is the group…my Dad, his buddies, and me :)

Dad got a good pic of me

At the bottom of a gnarly decent…was starting to get colder and more cloudy the closer we got to Death Valley

    image

New Years Night…Two of my riding buddies and myself decided we've never actually 'dressed up' for new years like most girls…we always spend it in the desert…so we found some sparkly dresses and dressed up for the night!
    image

    I definitely wore sparkles…and pink….
    image

Even the old guys had fun ;)
    image

    And here's Martin Luther…the group
    image

This is the spot where my dad crashed a year earlier…almost lost him for good on this one :(

    Totally impaled!
    image

So sad, people are so destructive.  This little building housed a pump for diesel fuel…there's a large container below.  The larger building next to it was a Nav-Aid during WWII.  It wasn't needed and decommissioned in the 60's…it was in perfect condition up until the last 8 months are so.  It used to be so cool to walk around inside it…now it's been shot up, burned, and torn to shreds :(

    Me and my daddy
    image

Dad, me, step mom, and brother…missing some family members, but it was sooo nice to be in the desert again!

Thanks Court - always great to see your ride pics. Must be great having all that wide open space to ride and camp.

ps - The guys at your dealership don't tease you about riding a red bike? :)

Haha ML I know! I've been swamped lately. I have tons of stories just no time to write them... And this was a piss poor attempt at posting a story haha mostly just photos.

Sean, the desert is amazing. It's my favorite place to be.

I need some for my KLX 140 as well, so I'm in the same boat as you.  I'm in no hurry though, I'ma just keep looking when I have time.  I might try one off my RMZ and if it fits I'll just spring for a full sized set.

    It's all good.

For a lot if the desert you just pull up and park... In some areas there is designated camping spots. Depends where you are.

Bikes don't over heat any more than anywhere else... If you're moving slow or just idling, they get hot.

yup yup, and I just noticed kiwi's comment, LOL yeah its hard to walk indoors now with my head thats so big hahah. Sorry Courtney I sorta jacked your thread. :/  Could you explain how the stick got jammed in his rad? did he go down? or was he following close to another rider and it flew up and stuck? it would have to have some serious speed to do that.
