1999 CR125 Full Rebuild

I was wondering if there was any full guides on rebuilds (top end, bottom end or both possibly) as I plan to do it myself, I found one this one on google (http://metal-matrix.com/cr125-rebuild/) but I'm not sure how good of a guide it is and if it would work for my 1999. Also, Along with the full rebuild is there anything else anyone would recommend doing? The bike is older and it's had better days but I've already spent a decent amount on it so I just want it in perfect running condition, So I'm willing to spend a bit to get it in good shape, Also willing to spend extra on better parts for the rebuild and/or cheaper power mods I can do with the rebuild as I'd like more power out of the bike if possible (all it has is a pipe so far, would really like more power out of it). The bikes also been resleeved by a previous owner, Is that a problem?

The reason I'm assuming it needs a rebuild is the previous owner never did one and the bike really doesn't seem to have all that much power at all, It seems fairly tired, so I'm hoping to go over everything and have it ready in the next month or two.

Last thing I'm really wondering is, Where would I go about getting all the needed parts? Is there any good sites that sell full kits for rebuilds?

Anyways, Any information, rebuild guides, break-in information (as I have absolutely no clue) and websites to order parts are very appreciated, Thanks for reading!

Alright I checked out that site but couldn't find a kit, Do I just buy all the parts separately? If so, What all do I need?

EBay has rebuild kits for cheap. Good brands too mainly weisco an hot rods. I didn't search ur specific bike model ect. But I have no doubt theyre there. I seen top end kits for 100-150. Bottom end kits for 180-250$. These include everything including crank seals gaskets pistons, rings bearing the whole 9.

Awesome, That's not bad at all. So is there different models of the 1999 CR125, Would some rebuild kits be different than others? Also, Is it this something I can do myself? I heard top end isn't bad but I've never heard much about redoing the bottom end but the bike really seems to be lacking power. And as far as break-ins go does anyone have information on that?

Oh and the other concern I had as I've never rebuilt a bike before, Mine has been resleeved aperrantly, Will the piston size be the same? Also, With it being resleeved does that kill any chance of being able to bore it?

First thing is get a manual for the bike. It will tell u how to determine if the crank bearings are bad. Usually by taking head off and wiggling the rod in different directions. I think (could b wrong) a lil side to side play is ok, up an down play is bad means it needs rebuilt. Bottom end maybe ok as long as ur tranny ain't crapping out missing gears slipping into neutral ect. There two separate things but both need the cases split to be repaired. As far as the top end do a compression check to see if it needs any attention. Manual should have the numbers between what good and bad. If it bad take the head and piston to a machine shop have it checked for tolerances and to see if it out of round ect. They'll tell u what needs done. If it can be bored need reslerved again yada yada. Different kits for same bike come with different piston sizes. They may tell u to buy a piston kit with piston over a certain size. When u get piston rings ect take that stuff to machine shop and they'll bore it to size. (If that what they tell u 2 do) u may only need new rings. Or it could be fine altogether and u may have power valve issue Carb issue or a blockage in ur exhaust. Get manual do compression test.
