First dirt bike, think may be stolen

    Just bought a dirt bike today, Bear in mind I live in scotland so the laws and regulations need to be for the UK.  I had contacted a guy on gumtree about an advertisement, brought my friend to have a look at it aswell, it was 125cc K&n Motorsport kinlon.  I bought it for £280, dirt cheap should be alot more and i know it should be.  I am fine with having a stolen dirt bike, but the problem is i blurted out that it might of been stolen to my parents, they are jumping to the gun that it is stolen, probably is, but I'm trying to think of what to do, I'm going to word a text to the guy on how i want to make it road legal so I can learn on it and if i can't get the documents i have to get the refund, most likely he will say fuck off and i know he will.  So I'm just wondering who else has been in this situation and what did you do?

    Please support, Looking for some assistance, really stuck at the moment, is there any way I can make it non-stolen in a sense, of me being able to make it a 100% legit bike?

    I'm not familiar with British law. In the us you can have a cop check the vin to see if its stolen.

    So if u suspect it maybe stolen do u not feel even the least bit Sry for the victim here? Id say man up an contact ur local police department. If u do the right thing u may be able recoupe your $ thru restitution. Plus if u get caught with it then ur gona be just as guilty as the person that took it in the first place. Provided ofcourse it was stolen. You could be wrong tho, there is a chance its legit. What was the reason he gave for selling so cheap? I do know how to make stolen bike legit but I'm not gona encourage that.

    His son has not used it in ages and he needs driving lessons, came with a helmet and gloves, seems legit just no paperwork.  Also I looked at it in great detail and the bike has been used frequently so i will probably need to service it, he basically passed it off as a unused machine whenever it has been used, i believe it is legit but im 70% legit, 30% not atm, could you tell me how to make it seem more legit? Get a fake serial code, ect??

    What year is the bike? It may be getting ready to need a rebuild, could be part of why it was cheap. How much does a similar year make model bike sell for on average in your area?

    Just wear a cardboard sign around your neck that say "street legal"

    Don't know the year of the bike, i think it might be let's say 10 or 09 i really don't know it looked new at the first glance but looking at it nah it doesn't look new, hmm well a really bad 110cc goes for 180 and a 125 goes for like 280 but they're really bad and practically scrap

    I had to edit that buy frame with the title make swap your good or take it back,,do not take it to the police station, if it is hot you're gonna get locked up,call over phone give vin tell them you're considering to buy and run vin,

    Im just trying to help guide the kid,I always want to see kids be better then me,I did 12 all togethercame home off 61/2 two years ago,been there done all that wasnt worth it,plus he mite.be in harms way n not know it, he's posting on internet about a hot bike,not know where is hot from who's it was nothing,hes blind!! Like I said if my bikes come up missing and I seen anybody on it,oooo man im going away for awhile,you know what im saying, he needs to buy a frame with a title and make.the swap or get rid of it,hes green he dont know like I said hes broadcasting his self on the internet
