I currently have a 2006 CRF80F as a pit bike/extra bike for my cousins. Its a great bike, i rebuilt the bike from a brand new cyilinder upward is all new. I can say they are very reliable bikes. I dont know how tall your daughter is, like her in seam. But personally i would recommend the 100 just because at that age kids in general grow like weeds especially girls. Its a tad bit taller plus has bigger wheels which would make the bike feel more stable. Just so you dont have to buy another bike 6months to a year later. Plus the bikes are not much different in price.

Sounds good thanks,,grow like weeds :-) you just decided for me,I couldnt figure out which 1 I wanted, she has to get use to clutch, she has a crf 50 now but its.way to small she rides it like a mini pro,she uses my tire ramps for jumps and trys to ride wheelies,

I did the same thing Sean, I bought my 9 year old daughter a KLX140 recently and she has coped well with it.  It's too big but as long as she doesn't drop it, she's fine.  She's learnt the clutch much easier than I thought too.

I got it for 800 with the title its a 08, today I put new oil, spark plug ,air filter, and it is smoking,I pulled the spark plug out and it was black and wet,the guy I bought it from said he cleaned carb and and may have put the pin up a notch and it could be getting to much gas,it bogs a high rpm a bit, I'm nervous.. other then this the bike is pristine condition,

When I bought the stuff for the bike I seen they only cost 2700 give or take.if this bike is no good I will get my money back, the guy that sold it to me is a older guy he sold it because they keep breaking in his garage, they done stolen 3 for of his grandsons bikes,he had this bike in his house,he did drain the gas though,he has a nice house I dont think he is hurting for money, he seemed to be a good people, but I am nervous about this smoke, its a 4 stroke it shouldnt smoke like this-,

well my crf80 like i said before i rebuil with all new parts from the cylinder upwards. And it has only smoked when i had month or 2 old fuel in it, I would try draining all the gas for yourself, put fresh 91 or higher octane and run some lucas oil fuel treatment. See if it does the same. if it does still smoke  a valve seat or the pistion is letting oil seep by. It really isnt a hard fix but if you would like to get your money back then go do so of course.

No worries sean, also I LOVE SEAFOAM! haha That stuff really does work wonders. That would also be a great additive too use, On the rebuild aspect It costed me $290 for a new head with all new valves, springs, tappets, cam etc.... already installed. The cyilinder I found one brand new for $80 bucks, and Then i Got a prolite wiesco piston kit for $75. All prices including shipping. so $445 total and my CRF 80 is brand new. But in your case you will more then likely just need a new piston and some rings so $75 for a piston kit and your done really. I bought mine for $250(the crf80) because the bike had threw the cam chain from having no maintenance so i had to start with fresh everything. Yours is running fine just smoking so thats not bad at all :)  I will post some pics of the rebuild up here if you want to see inside what it looks like.

    Old cylinder/piston (start of rebuild)

The old head you can see where the cam chain got thrown so then the cam started slopping around in there and board out the slots where the cam is suppose to sit. You cant see in the pic but there were chew marks all in where the cam chain goes down.

I will message you my e-mail. here are some sites I ordered parts off of (mainly aftermarket) for my TTR50 and more recently my CRF80.  The owner is a great guy and super helpful: http://www.mx-performance.com/id53.html  make sure to scroll down. Also e-bay is where i found my cyilinder. Please dont think that your 100 is a lost cause it really isnt. just needs a little adjustment-ing . Have you tried adjusting the floats or the air/fuel mixture screw?

You more then likely just need a piston but here is a full kit. http://www.ebay.com/itm/HONDA-CRF100-XR100-120cc-BIG-BORE-PISTON-CYLINDER-KIT-CRF-XR-100-HEAD-/170971765266?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27ceb61a12&vxp=mtr
Also dont be so up to buy this kit until you take it apart and see what exactly is worn ya know. Its more then likely the piston and rings are done but i dont want to mis-lead you, ya know.
