YZ250 Bad Engine sound?

    Hi there. Lately ive been noticing a weird kind of noise coming from my engine as im riding. Seems to be more so happening at high rev's/speed and happens intermittently. It kind of sounds like 2 big chunks of metal clunking together or like a piston or something is loose and hitting another piece of metal. The engine still runs, starts and has compression and I am still able to ride the bike but i just thought the sound it was making might be a sign it was on it's way out. I have made a video linked below, trying to showcase what it sounded like. Please check it out and let me know if it's normal or not for it to make that sound(especially at the 3:15 mark).     I didn't watch the vid but sounds like you are describing piston slap. You should stop running it and pull the jug and you might have something to salvage.

    would you be able to watch the video for me to help determine what the cause could be? not too sure about it being piston slap

    There was too much wind noise for me to hear anything discernible.

    yeah i know. it was the best i could do trying to show the sound it made. try just focus on the motor/rev's.
