    You're useless.

You'd think someone busting a gut to become a mod would be on the ball with stuff like this, but no.

**Sigh**   I'll do your dirty work for you...

Well, I had a good weekend.  I went to the first round of our local Cross-country series which was fun.  I had a bloody average ride though, coming third in the vets and 14th overall.   It was hell dusty in places and I was too skeered to push my luck in the dust.  Also, it was my first decent race after winter and was hard to go back to 95% playing around the last few months at 80%.   Think some training might be in order.   I shoulda been training already but I've just been too busy...

I also bought my oldest daughter an '09 KLX140L for Xmas.  It's gonna be a big jump for her from her DRZ70 but she's been riding the TTR125 on my mates farm so she should be alright.image

  • Watch your language please. Vulgarity will NOT be tolerated.

I got carried away watchin a movie called the perfect getaway and since nobody wants to give me a fair chance at being a moderator i see no point anymore. Really no point even posting here anymore. Might just stay over on thumpertalk where there is lots of FUN and GOOD TECH INFO. It is what it is. Truth is this board has hit rock bottom and stayed there for like a year.

To be fair Maple, the board is what you make of it.  I do agree it's gone downhill badly but it will only improve if we improve it.

I guess the mod campaign was an abject failure then...  LOL

  • Wow you're daughter's gonna be so happy! image   image  Hopefully you haven't told her yet.

Sorry, but I'm a morning person and the only Sat night thread I've ever seen is on Sun morning.   Maple didn't you see all the posts in your favor?  It's not like they chose someone else over you, they didn't choose anyone. We like you just as you are btw.

I think most forums are not what they used to be because we have other options for communicating.   Also, life gets busy, people are dealing with personal issues, etc and posting on a forum gets put on the back burner.

The DR forums is kind of like a diner in a large town but a couple of new diners have opened up recently (FB and Twitter).  I was gone for quite a few months and when I came back it was almost like going into that diner for a cup of coffee, bumping into someone I hadn't seen for a while and just sitting at the counter catching up on what's been going on around town.   I think hella said it best in his recent post that it was "comforting" to see the regulars are still here.  I though that was a good way of putting it and hopefully we'll all stick around for a while even if we come and go.

Worked most of the weekend. Had an awesome remodel on a tank yesterday that yielded some good dough, and sold some fish goodies today. Been saving up for a big down on a house. *sigh*, tired, but it will all pay off when I make it in to Telluride next week for the Holidays.

kiwi FTW! your one cool dude kiwi, i bet your daughter is gonna shit bricks when she sees that beast! This weekend, i picked up some extra work. The water is getting colder down to 56.F may not seem cold to some, but when your in the water for 5 to 6hrs at a time, it gets your core temp down. Anyways luckly i finnished up my work yesterday so I had today off. my Shim kit and my #130 main jet came into day and I installed it on my TW200 it got rid of its lean tendencies and made the bikes throttle response and its top end power way better! I am so happy, i got that recommendation of jettings specs off the TW200 trailway forum and I am very happy. Also adjusted the velves while I had the tank and seat off. The Bike does 55mph in 4th gear easy now. I still have another gear left and its geared 13/51 which is pretty high. I wanna switch it to 13/47 so i get some more top end speed and can ride comforatbly on the freeway.

  • You can say what you want about the DR forums, but if you look around..its slowly making its way back. We are ignoring trolls, and more and more dirtbike talk is coming through! Alex is hanging around for longer then usual, damn kid is so busy buying bikes and diving under water(too cool btw). Hair decided to give up her attempt at a life so shes back as well..Kiwi, Hella, ML, MJP, Pop, Paul..I'd say most of the whos who is here right now, or at least surfacing.

and I agree, since I got my truck and FB the DR was put behind me.. FB is what made the difference for me. Maple, make a DR group on FB then you can be admin ;) haha

Sweet ride for the daughter, Kiwi! I'm sure she'll like it..probably more so if its red ;)

I agree, the board is looking way better than it has for a while, lets keep it up lads.

ML isn't contributing what he could be though.  Step it up Heebo!!!

No, I haven't told her yet Hair,  those pics were taken at the in-laws where I'm stashing it until Xmas eve.  I've got her some girly riding pants and jersey that I picked up at at a race from a girl who'd grown out of them too.  Actually, your whole post summed things up quite well, Hair.

    Cheers for the nice comments.

Brad, it was really a toss up between the TTR125 and te KLX140 as they have lecky start.  Or I coulda cheaped out andd bought a DRZ125 or a CRF100.   The CRF never really got a look in sorry...    Although, in general terms I do like Hondas.

Good to hear your busy too Rocky, that's a good problem to have these days.

Honestly Maple, what the hell were you thinking with the mod campaign?  You were trying to find an answer for a question that was never asked.   Surely you never took the whole thing seriously, if so, you're the only one who did...   LOL

it will be a memorable christmas for your daughter!   You did good.

Brad's idea is a good one Maple.   You can start a page on FB and be the administrator of it, invite people to "like" it and use all your spare time to run it.   I would participate if you keep it clean and keep the posts to a minimum.

Well, when I need someone banned I'm calling Maple!   Of course he might be banning himself.
I faded away because riding was put on hold until I got work straightened out.  I did do a few races and rides this year (all in the rain).
I finished 9th at the 2 stroke World Championships, if you can call it that.
1st at the 12 hr endurance race, the other 2 teams quite.lol
And 2nd in some 5k races.
I have some new boots to break in and a new helmet so I will be around more.

Robertson's refusal to license his screws prevented their widespread
adoption in the United States, where the more widely licensed Phillips
head has gained acceptance. The restriction of licensing of Robertson's
internal-wrenching square may have sped the development of the internal-wrenching hexagon, although documentation of this is limited.

Hahaha i just like stating the obvious lol. It actually is a week later i didnt even think of that. Riding was fun yesterday, its been raining here like crazy too, yesterday was my shot to hit the track because more rain is coming tomorrow and monday. It was sloppy conditions just because of the rain and for what ever reason they didint groom the track from the day before, so it made for awesome training conditions. Deep ruts, braking bumps, ruts down the jump landings, water filler inside lines, etc... It was pretty much like a track after a national so it made things interesting. I have some helmet cam footage i will upload soon, my lense kept fogging up because it was so cold. anyways i am sorry rain keeps coming your way hair, after your done cleaning up your driveway, why dont you treat your self to some nice nature groomed woodz riding on the 100. :) That seems fair to me haha. and ML i have tried to hook up with kelley, its hard to line his sechdual up with mine haha. Does he need a riding buddy or something?
