You'd think someone busting a gut to become a mod would be on the ball with stuff like this, but no.
**Sigh** I'll do your dirty work for you...

Well, I had a good weekend. I went to the first round of our local Cross-country series which was fun. I had a bloody average ride though, coming third in the vets and 14th overall. It was hell dusty in places and I was too skeered to push my luck in the dust. Also, it was my first decent race after winter and was hard to go back to 95% playing around the last few months at 80%. Think some training might be in order. I shoulda been training already but I've just been too busy...

I also bought my oldest daughter an '09 KLX140L for Xmas. It's gonna be a big jump for her from her DRZ70 but she's been riding the TTR125 on my mates farm so she should be alright.

Another pic. I'm still getting used to the new PB and the new DR format, I haven't posted a pic for ages.

To be fair Maple, the board is what you make of it. I do agree it's gone downhill badly but it will only improve if we improve it.
I guess the mod campaign was an abject failure then... LOL

Wow you're daughter's gonna be so happy!
Hopefully you haven't told her yet.
Sorry, but I'm a morning person and the only Sat night thread I've ever seen is on Sun morning. Maple didn't you see all the posts in your favor? It's not like they chose someone else over you, they didn't choose anyone. We like you just as you are btw.
I think most forums are not what they used to be because we have other options for communicating. Also, life gets busy, people are dealing with personal issues, etc and posting on a forum gets put on the back burner.
The DR forums is kind of like a diner in a large town but a couple of new diners have opened up recently (FB and Twitter). I was gone for quite a few months and when I came back it was almost like going into that diner for a cup of coffee, bumping into someone I hadn't seen for a while and just sitting at the counter catching up on what's been going on around town. I think hella said it best in his recent post that it was "comforting" to see the regulars are still here. I though that was a good way of putting it and hopefully we'll all stick around for a while even if we come and go.

I agree, the board is looking way better than it has for a while, lets keep it up lads.
ML isn't contributing what he could be though. Step it up Heebo!!!
No, I haven't told her yet Hair, those pics were taken at the in-laws where I'm stashing it until Xmas eve. I've got her some girly riding pants and jersey that I picked up at at a race from a girl who'd grown out of them too. Actually, your whole post summed things up quite well, Hair.

Cheers for the nice comments.
Brad, it was really a toss up between the TTR125 and te KLX140 as they have lecky start. Or I coulda cheaped out andd bought a DRZ125 or a CRF100. The CRF never really got a look in sorry... Although, in general terms I do like Hondas.
Good to hear your busy too Rocky, that's a good problem to have these days.
Honestly Maple, what the hell were you thinking with the mod campaign? You were trying to find an answer for a question that was never asked. Surely you never took the whole thing seriously, if so, you're the only one who did... LOL

ML has a link in his post to Wikipedia (I didn't know what it either)

Oh, I see said the blind man.
We use them quite a bit down here for construction too.
Cheers for pointing out the link Hair, Most of ML's links are dodgy so I was too skeered to try it...

It's all off topic Alex - it's the Saturday night thread. Now it's Saturday morning a week later so you're actually ahead of the game!
I'm glad you're out riding - we had non-stop rain for the past 2 days. I have to go out today and sweep/shovel the dirt runoff and mulch off my driveway now that the rain has finally stopped.
