Scratched crank?

Replacing crank seals on my 04 cr125. 1 hour maybe after replacement and right side is not leaking as far as I know, but the left one is I think. Pulled off the fly wheel and thought I saw a little wetness around it. Could smell gas/oil in there. While taking out the left seal the screw that we screwed into it hit the crank a little and turned the crank a little as it was drilling in. After getting the seal out I could not see a scratch with just a quick look over and didn't really feel anything with the rub of my hand. Figured a small steel screw couldn't do much to a hardened steel crank.Well here I am and I'm pretty sure it's leaking again. All I've done is take off the fly wheel, not the magneto part. I'll probably take it off next for further inspection. What should I do in the case of a small scratch? I'm thinking about selling this thing too much to worry about.

What kind of symptoms are you having?
any kind of surface damage of the crank where the seal rides can cause seepage.

I have had to turn the air screw in a little to compensate for the lean symptom. If its not the cold weather.
