Hey Wyatt - welcome to the DR forums!
There is a world of difference between the TTR 125 and the CR 250F 250R but at your age/height/weight you should be fine. Lots of room to grow into the bike. Just be sure to respect the bike until you get used to it.
I looked on Ebay real quick and there was only one 2008 TTR-LE listed recently and it wasn't too far from you (Georgia). It was listed on Nov 25 and was only bid up to $820. The reserve was $1450 so it didn't sell. They relisted it the following week and only made it up to $855 with a reserve price of $1400 so it once again did not sell. The auction said the bike is in very good condition, runs great, and tires are 80% or better.
Ebay is a good place to check - but you need to look at the "Completed Listings" as you have no way of knowing what an active listing will sell for. You also need top make sure the item is close to your geographic area. I'm not crazy about Craigslist, but it's another useful tool.
How long have you had it for sale? Can you bring it to a dealer on consignment?
30mph? im surprised it was going at that speed
that must of hurt though
The CRF 250 will handle tight trails great. Just make sure you adjust the suspension to your weight, specially the sag, it should be about 100 mm or 4 inches.
