starting dirtbike after cold weather

    it is crazy it is 75 degrees in december but my dirtbike has been sitting in my garage for probly a month and a half or 2 and it has gotten as low as 27 degrees i think some nights and since it was 75 today i wanted to try to start it but it wouldnt start, i read somewhere that if the engine is cold it wont start so i let it sit in the sun and warm up and it still woulndt, i tried to push start it but still didnt work....this is pretty much my first bike so if you can put your answers in simple terms i would know. thanks

    Dunno what the problem might be - I live in upstate NY and each spring I take the bike off the stand, shake the tank, open the choke kick it a few times and all is good.


    I'm just impressed that your first bike is a YZ 250!!!
