Why the hell did Bleed create a blog?
Simple. I wanted to get as much of my information out there to the general public. No other reason than that and I enjoy doing it. I still submit work to Dirt Hammers, but not all of it can be published due to differing reasons. So, if it makes up on Dirt Hammers, it also goes on my blog. If it does not make it up on Dirt Hammers, it goes to my blog. The blog was just started two days ago, so there is little there at the moment, but keep an eye out as it will grow as I get things in order.
The above link is where you can find whatever I write including tech tips, inteviews, basic rants and raves, and anything dirt related. I am currently working my ass off to get anything I can out there, so any word of mouth, tips, info, criticism, or anything you can do to help me, help you is truly appreciated.
Also, if you know of anyone who races and needs exposure, get in touch with me. You may make it to Dirt Hammers, but you will at least make it up on my blog. If you have a good story to tell, get with me. If you have a tech tip, get with me. If you rode a good area and want to talk about it, get with me. No matter what it is, if it is dirt related, get with me as I want to hear it and put it out there. If you have pictures as well, give them to me and I will post those too. My site is open to damn enar anything, so long as dirt is involved.
Thanks for reading, and stay dirty my friends.
Thanks for the read. I am working on getting permission to post up the more higher end interviews I have done, but for now I have to wait until I get the go ahead. As for getting it to open in a seperate tab, I have not figured that out...yet. Hahaha!
I would also love an East Coast Get together. I tried earlier this year, but either I did not give enough time, I am not popular enough, or it was a bad place. maybe a combination fo all three, who knows. Hahaha!
Looks good bleed (Ileft a comment under the name organic options). The only suggestion would be the header. It looks like it's part of the background image, but the second line is really hard to read and you need a few spaces between your name. Other than that you're off to a good start!
I totally get where you're coming from as far as just doing it because you enjoy it and want to get your thoughts and opinions out there. I did sort of the same thing almost two years ago but put mine in book form (www.dirtbikes101.com). My reasons had more to do with frustration over the direction the sport is going as oppossed to writing about wrenching and riding, but it's my little attempt to put something back. I wish you the very best of luck!!!
I'll answer your question for you. Why did Bleed start a blog?
Because he has far, far, far too much time on his hands... LOL Once you're a hard out tweeter, whats left, but to start your own blog...
Kiwi! Hahaha! Yes, I still use Twitter as well, and my blog is linked to it. I also freelance write for Dirt Hammers, and I keep up with Dirtbikes!! on Facebook as well. And yes, I do tend to have a good deal of time on my hands these days. Hahahaha! The truth is that I have been wanting to do this for a good while and just never had the time. Since I do now, I work on what I enjoy. Plus, it takes my mind off my half insane math class I am in.
Hair: Paul does have good things to say concerning dirt. Keep a watch on my blog to find out more about Paul. *winkwinknudgenudge*
New post and an important one if I do say so myself. I hope you enjoy it and do something to help. Thanks.
Exactly, and I was a bit torn to a degree as well.
I love being in Florida where there are tons of wetland that needs to be protected, but I also love my riding areas too. That being said, there are tons of places for me to hunt, but I keep hearing about tracks getting closed for this reason or the next, so I think we need to protect our riding areas far more. Not to mention that here in Kentucky I can happily take my bulldozer and level a mountain, but my dirt bike does too much damage. *rolls eyes*
Also, check out my blog on the 10th of December as well. I have a post scheduled to appear then. It is one I did before, but I got permission from the interviewee to post it to my blog as well.
Does anyone have any ideas about what I can write about in my blog? I have roughly 10-12 articles ready to go already, and about 4-5 more in the works concerning interview(s), product writeups, and rebuild articles, but if anyone has any ideas I would be more than happy to at the very least entertain them. Hell! I may even use each and everyone of them. Would anyone like to be interviewed as well that races or know of someone who does a good deal for the dirt community even if they do not race? If not, and you read what I have up, get ready for product reviews, rebuild tips, full on "what to buy articles", interviews, and technical write ups as well.
Also, i just recently reposted an article some may have already seen at Dirt Hammers, but i posted it again for my own use as well this time. It is there if you want to look. Thanks for reading. I truly appreciate it.
New post is up. Interview of Chris Birch, New Zealand's top enduro rider and one of the very best in the world. This is much to Kiwi's chagrin, but hey, what can you do? Short-shorts, velcro gloves, and Slowzukis just don't cut it in the world of enduro. *shrugs* We did see a picture of him protesting his latest DQ from a race though.
Hahaha! Gotta love Kiwi and his sense of humor.
I just posted up the interview I did with Graham Jarvis yesterday. Hit it up if anyone wants to read it. Paul is in there as well, and so is Chris Birch. Pretty good company if I do say so myself. There are also product reviews and a few articles as well.
More articles and product reviews to come soon. Thank to those that read it/them.
Well, I tried to login under FB, but that didn't go over very well (that's a shocker!), and I can't remember my WP info so will have to try again later. Wouldn't even let me 'like' the page w/o logging in. :(
