There is not really any way (decibel levels don't describe reality) to judge how loud "too loud" is, so I can't really answer your question. You'll have to hear it for yourself. Btw - thanks for looking into the sound issue before you buy - excessive noise is def having a negative impact on our sport.
I'm taking a guess that the Amish folks by you might have a large farm so keep in mind sound travels farther and faster over open land than if there are some trees or shrubs (corn and hay do help) to absorb and deflect some of the noise. Be sure to keep in touch and let us see the new bike (if you get one).
