I'm thinking of gettingI'll be riding in low elevation mostly below 1000ft sometimes 1200-1300ftIn of the posts i was researching somebody mentioned that with 2008 model I'll need a
16016-KCY-670 SCREW SET A
which is for 2003 -2005 modelsto replace my 16016-KC2-764 SCREW SET A for 2006 + modelsWhy do I need this? I'm confused. -
Is the bike not running right with stock jetting?

Everything is alright with stock jetting. Unfortunately these bike come with very lean jetting and since I'm not in CA I want the bike to be a little more responsive.

If it doesn't bog at low throttle or bluber at high RPM's the jetting is correct.

I was looking to do it as an upgrade over the winter not as a fix up.

Before you start messing with the jetting, begin by adjusting the air/fuel mixture screw. After the bike is warmed up and the engine idling, turn the screw in our out slowly untill you hear the motor revs are the highest. That will improve your responsivness off idle.

It was good and I definitely noticed more power.
