    For those who may not realize.  i grew up on a cattle farm and we have had both horses and motorcycles around here.  we have only had one useful horse who had $$$$ in training as a cutting horse.  the only reason we had him is we got him cheap as such a horse is not necessary.   anyone who tells you otherwise likes to pose.

    the only thing horses are good for is that chicks really dig horses.

    then there is the issue about willie nelsons song "my heroes have always been cowboys" .  that song came out when i was in the 6th grade i loved it and it is a good explanation why i have the health of a spry 90 year old at the age of 45.  i am a musician and i even have my own version of the song.

    now i hear that the corn farmers are using it as one of their mating signal/ritual songs.    !#$#$#!%

    i just thought y'all might find those things amusing.   the whole commercial cowboy scene is pretty amusing to me.

    Here in western pa all the cowboys traded in there horses for full sized Turbo diesel pick up trucks

    those guys are probly legit then.  its the amish posers that i laugh at.  around here we only really need pickups to do our job but the bikes are helpful too.  in this day and age horses are a hindrance to getting stuff done not a help.  thats why i laugh at the cowboys with their fancy trailers western clothes and commercial music getting cowboyed up.  we need to send them missionaries to stop them from abusing the farm animals and bring them down to where modern day cowboys play at the track.

    this thread was just mean't for amusement and not anything serious.  i like horses too.  they were a great asset back when i was chasing chicks.

    Horses are definitely chick magnets. But I find having a mane that is worthy of Joe dirt and a horse sized HEE HAWW works just as well. Besides horses poop ALOT.!
