Slightly hard clutch/gear KTM 250SXF 2007
  • Dear All,

    Yesterday I tested two bike.

    Bike 1: KTM 250SXF 2007
    Bike 2: HONDA CRF250R 2007

First thing i noticed is that the KTM has quite a harder shifting in gear then the honda, the honda shifts very smooth, it like falls into gear when you change gears, also going from 1 to neutral was easy ont he honda.

On the KTM however you will need to push or pull your foot a bit harder to shift gear and it will give quite a sound "Clack" when you shift, also going from 1 to neatral is much harder.

The workshop mentions this is tipycal for KTM to have the "rough clutch".

Any ideas you KTM riders can share with me if this is normal or what is going on?

    Thanks All,

    Cheers,
    Eric.

It should be easy to shift, but the sound is definitely different…that loud 'clack' is completely normal.
