i have a kx85 and it is a 2001 and it is seized it rean fine then one day while toping it out it clunked but after that it started and ran like crap and was knocking badly and one day while listining to itit clunked and seized and now it will not shift out of neutral is it the top end or crank or shifting or transmission let me know thanks

I would take off the cylinder head and the piston first. If you see any scratches inside the cylinder head, replace the top end. If not, take the motor off completely and take the cases off and examine the crank, and all the other parts of the bottom end. Remember exactly how you took it apart and put it back on the same way. It's pretty easy to tell when something's messed up in the engine. Make sure you have new gaskets to put it back together, a clean work area, some grease, threadlocker, and hi-temp silicone always helps when working with the engine. you can buy the stock OEM parts off motosport and buy any specific part you need. Hope this helps!
