Add a tooth or two to the rear sprocket will make noticeable difference

The v force gets great reviews all over the power band

    Never Too Old
  • I've already added a tooth.on the rear sprocket and it didn't make a big difference and I've heard if your.bike backfires a lot it'll crack the rred cage is that true?

If you are going with a complete cage the v force is very good for low to mid, I prefer the boysen power valve for mid to top.

If you are just going for reeds check out http://www.carbontech.com/ they provide reeds with different tension for low to mid,
mid to top and top end

       A
    couple recommendations...
Porting is your biggest bang for the buck and
as long as you are not bumping up compression you should be able to run
premium pump gas.  I really like www.eric-gorr.com.  He can put the power where you want it.

If you are running the pc platinum pipe (great moto pipe) but... the platinum II or the FMF gnarly which are low to mid pipes are better options.

  • I'm planning on cleaning out the intake and exhaust ports but I still want more power I have a cr250 now that picks up in every gear but I want this 250 to beat it I actually had to get custom made 50 sprockets made because I was tearing teeth off of regular sprockets
