01 RM 250 Wont Start

    Was clicked at 5 gear doing about 70 for a quarter mile. Down shifted to first. Started to hit a dirt road when the bike stalled.  Restarted and the bike gargled.  Restarted again to head home and the bike died again.  Tried to restart and the kick starter would not budge.  

    My brother thinks it is the bottom end being "broken" with pieces jamming the gears.  Another guess was the top end being frozen???

    Any ideas before I tear this beast apart?  Any quick fixes or checks?
