New DirtRider.com, New Forum—What do you think?

    Hi everyone,

What do you think of the new look and feel? I will admit it's going to take a bit to adjust to the placement of things on the new forum since it is completely unfamiliar. On the content side, did you guys noticed the simplified categories? I still need to re-organize the content in some categories due to the minimization of some old categories. Let's hear your feedback! We want to create a better DirtRider.com for you.

See Chris Denison's note about the new website: http://www.dirtrider.com/features/bigger-faster-stronger/

Doesnt show post count. While I see some advantages to that, I also see people losing a reason to stick around long term. Post count showed some sort of seniority, whether anyone wants to believe that or not. Just my 2 cents.

Can we get the recent thread section back? I liked that feature, I don't see it on a lot of forums, it was a nice feature for this site.

okay, if I right click on that little blue box with the question mark in my previous post, I can see the video, is there another way to do this? Also, how do I go back to a post and edit or add to it?

okay, when I used the "insert image" box, what you get is the little blue box with the question mark inside.   If I just paste the direct link code from my photo-bucket account, here is what you get:

not sure what the hyper link does, but can't seem to get it working either.   ????

If someone's looking for a job, it would be good to have the active posts system back.

I think I like some of the other stuff you've done though.

Darkening each users grey box that outlines their name, pic and post count would be good. If you scroll around a thread quickly, it seems a bit tough to separate everything. Maybe just a tad darker shade of grey?

I would also limit sizes of text. I see some posts with text so big, the letters are being cut off. While I like all these features and customizations, it can kill the "flow" of the forum. Remember what happened to Myspace? Too much customization, and before long you couldn't even understand peoples pages- thus people stopped using it.

Well, I know some bugs have been found and addresed, so its still a work in process.  I will ask on the Active Posts, if thats possible.

I kinda like not having post count; that was a constant issue here and at other sites.

Not bad, but will definetly have to get used to it! I like it its way cleaner and feels organized but still doesn't feel just right yet. Is there a mobile site? CR we're on the same page im always going off my phone, maybe we could hook this place up with those forum apps so this will be eaasy to navigate via mobile, or do we have or own format?

I don't see post count as any kind of issue, although I will concede the odd muppet has been known to take it far too seriously.

It looks good but Most Active / My Threads and pasting pictures instead of a link in your thread was the best things of the forum. It made it very easy to go back and comment on threads you posted on. You didn't have to remember where you were. Just limit the pic size if it matters.
DR was set up like no other forum which is way is was so great.
I agree with Fish. You don't want to became another Myspace.

Not trying to sound negative here because I think the site looks great, its just not flowing yet.
