I'm going to call garbage on that unless I'm mistaken also. Any 125 2t I've heard of usually will run a br9e_ of any sort likely. Somepeople on 125's will go to a br8e_ but I find that to hot of a plug and if your bike is jetted correctly it should run on the br9e_ no problem.

Do you have service/owners manual for your bike? It will usually tell you of 2 or 3 plug companies that will supply a working plug for your bike. My 2004 cr125 has the option of NGK, champion and someother plug company.

And bleed a br7es seems like a really hot plug for a 300 lol

Alright so recently I bought an 06 Kx 125 to update a bit (and the deal was too good to pass up). But I went to Royal distributing to get a spare plug only to be told that they've never stocked plugs for Kx's 05 and up... So i went to the local Kawasaki dealer to find one. Guy comes from the warehouse and tells me the plug is $40 !!! What! They dont even stock them either and have to special order them in. WHAT ON EARTH makes these plugs $40!? Has anyone heard of this before? NGK doesn't even make a plug for any Kx's newer then 05 it seems... Very confused. :?

Garbage. I would imagine that a BR8ES or BR9ES by NGK would work, unless I am sadly mistaken. My 2006 YZ125 runs on both of those, and my 2006 300 XC-W uses the BR7ES by NGK. Also, each of these plugs runs me about $2.25 a plug at Advance Auto Parts.

Thats what i thought, but the guy at royal distributing said that the kx's from 05+ had this really odd code of plug that kawasaki designed specially and that theyve never stocked these plugs before (this store is like a walmart for powersports) and he told me the only place I could get this plug was at a kawi dealer... I was a little shocked lol, they stock plugs for 99-02 kx 125's but not 05-07 :p

The owners manual calls for an NGK BR7ES. I thought it odd as well, but it is what is called for.

Hey sup fellow canadian. Rock on. Anyways ya don't need that stupid 1 off plug. They do that with the kx85 I used to have but I ran a br9es in it and it ran mint. Try a 9 in your 125 I wouldn't go any lower.

I agree with Maple and the others on here, although a BR9 is a "colder" plug and is best used if you race or run it hard, especially on hot days. For trail riding the BR8 might work better. Hey Bleed, if the 7 is working stick with it! I prefer to run the NGKBR8iex in my 300 with no problems whatsoever....

I agree with Paul, and the BR8ES is what I use due to trail riding the YZ125. No issues and works great.

That makes sense, I didn't believe that the only plug you could use on this thing was a $40 one. Money grab much eh.
