Buying genuine Honda parts to keep the Zook running.

    image

I needed some brake pads in a hurry and I despise the cheap and nasty ones, they're just awful. The Honda pads have the exact same Nissin part number as the RMZ ones, which is handy. I think they're a shade cheaper too... B)

The local Suzuki dealer went into liquidation a couple of weeks ago and the people who have taken it over haven't got their chit together. There was vicious rumour that I single-handedly ran them broke but I can confirm that this is not true... :D

Luckily, I still get on with the Honda dealer. :)

As an aside, one of the mechanics there was showing me his CR500 that he's bought as a project bike, I'm gonna have to scam a ride on it when he takes it to the local MX... B) B)

Just don't let Chud get wind of it.....would hate to be subject to the endless banter of Honda parts on a Zook.

I suspect the brake pads will fit yours too, assuming the YZ has Nissins on it.

It was the fronts and they're a fairly soft compound which gives it nice feel. They've lasted about 29 hours which was roughly what I expected given the RMX ones lasted a similar time frame.

I've got some cheap pads in the garage for emergencies but they suck and I'd walk over broken glass to avoid using them...

Honda is a good bike and has a good design. I am not understanding what your problem is Kiwi. What is it that you have against a Honda? I know that they may be a little low in seat height and that you did not always have the best of experiences when woring on them, but that is no reason to be down on them. Jeez. Harden up. It is only brake pads. :D

I'm not the tiniest bit upset about it Bleed, I just find it amusing that Honda parts are the exact same as Zook parts and I need them until the Zook dealer sort their chit out. I thought you boys might enjoy it if I put up a thread... What content have you put up recently Bleed? Huh? Muppet. :D

I would have no issues at all going blue or red. You never know whats around the corner. My next bike is a while away though, the next bike I buy will probably be for the kids... :)
