Dirt Rider Magazine

Just got this bike and have been trying to diagnose idle issues. Well I just realized the carb is from a '96. If I replace all the jets and needle to the '00 needs, will that be the same as having a '00 carb? If not, would a '99 or '01(not utilizing the tps) work in its place? I'm having a hard time finding a '00 model carb for sale so I'm trying to find my best options here.
