Looking for a new bike
  • Found a 2002 crf450 on Craigslist. Is that a good deal. Great shape with the valve just redone all stock except white bros slip on. $1500
  • Hey I'm looking at getting a newer bike. I had a 93 yz250 with fmf gold series and wiesco piston that I sold.
My dad says I need to get a four stroke or he'll hurt me. He hates the 2t buzz. I'm looking at a Honda and I'm stuck between a 250f or a 450f. I ride open fire roads and tight woods trails with loose rocks and mud. I'm in northern pa so there's all types of terrain. I don't know exactly if I want another yamaha or a Honda. I've also never ridden a four stroke bike and I'm afraid a 250f will be to underpowered for me if I do get one. Any help would be appreciated.
  • Hey dude it's whatever you want. Either way those 4 strokes aren't as fun to ride. But if you want something that is easy to whip around and maneuver, you should probably get a 250f. I ride a yz250 and there is nothing better. I would try to convince your dad to let you keep the old smoker!! haha
  • How's the 250f power?

Imo,At that age that bike is a ticking time bomb unless it's been in garage for the past ten years.
If I were to buy a four stroke it would have to be next to new.

that is true. are you looking for an mx bike or a trail race bike. if it is an mx bike than try to get 07 or newer. a trail racing bike like a 250x,450x,wr250,wr450 would be okay too.
