on a side note, i am currently in the process of building a 50 or a pit bike you could say, i am putting it all together on my own. the frame and motor are gone getting some heavy duty welding done on them by a friend. here are some pics of the parts that are still in my garage. image image image
its gonna be pretty sweet when its done. It has SDG forks with SDG billet upper clamp and bar risers, mikuni carb, K&N air filter, and a few other goodies. I am putting a 110cc SSR 4 speed motor in it. most of the parts are used, so i am just pieceing them together i have already bled both of the brake systems, rebuilt the carb, re packed the exhaust, and a few other things. so when i get the frame&swinger, and the motor back. all i have to do is paint the frame and some stuff on the motor and i will be back and running B)

Oh i almost forgot here is the pics of my new tool box, i know its nothing special i have just never had anything nice like this in the garage before.

oh and temecula was having a sale on kids bike tires so i couldnt resist i got a set for the TTR, nothink like fresh MX51's:
    image image image
the front tire is mounted the rear is not only cause i am gonna order some BBR HD spokes, i am sick of these cheap china ones that keep braking, so when that gets ordered i will have the rear tire on. :D i went a few sizes bigger then stock, cause the stock ones are just so skinny and small.

I know i seem to do this alot where i dont get time to check in and when i do i make a thread to see how everyones doing, but....its my only way to catch up with what everyones up to.

I havent been able to check DR as much because of some recent comp troubles. this past thursday i finally completed high school! I offically am done at the age of 16 waaaaa whooooooo! B) the ceremony is may 25th so when that comes i will post some pics up. I recently got a small raise at my work for being a hard worker, it was a small raise but none the less. About 3 weeks ago i bought my first car, a 1990 Toyota SR5 extra cab pick up. (i sold my XT350 to help with the cost of it) i bought it all my self from selling my bike and my paychecks. so i am excited i have done alot of work on it and its a great little truck. I will post pics very soon i promise. I am racing a national May 1st as well. I also get my braces off on april 28th. so alot has been going on lately. I will elaborate more because i have to go, but i hope everyone is doing great and still getting a chance to ride their bikes. ttyl......alex :D

    Alex,

Congratulations on finishing high school!!!!!!!, what are your plans for next year?
Nice job working for your truck you should be very proud of that.
Good luck with the racing this Summer, I'll be looking for some good videos.

As for myself, hanging out with my wife and kids, work and when home a bit of riding.
Wish I could get into some kind of riding shape and do some racing. At my age while I workout everyday, (swimming, cycling, weights and some running, not all on the same day) I'm only riding a couple of times a month and that just doesn't get it anymore. I need about 2-3 times a week on the bike to get any speed or endurance.

    Once again congratulations.

these pics i just took this morning. thats my truck. when i got it, it was such a beater the previous owners didnt care at atll. They tried to spray it them selves to make it look better but for those of you who have painted before you know what its like to get the orange peel affect. Well my car had that all over it there wasnt a smooth spot on it. SO as some of you know my dad as a cosmetic guy, we knew how to bring it back, so after color sanding the whole car by my self, doing a heavy compound polish, then a light compound polish, them a wax bath, she was done!!! looking 10x better then before. these pics dont do it justice cause its dewy out side haha B)
    image image image

as you can see i had to take the buffer to the fenders, you couldnt even tell they were chrome when i bought it hahahaha.
theres a few pics to give you an idea, not a bad little ruck after i put some time and love into it. when i bought the car it just had the top end re-done with a new block, i have now added new ignition coils, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor, spark plugs, new cam chain gears, new cam chain, new gaskets all around only one that dining get done is the rear main seal. I have put new cooper LTS tires on it, new brake pads, bled the brakes, fresh lucas oil with aditives, new starter, ect... all this with my own money hahaha so now with the purchase of the car included i am into it for a little over $3100, my truck is curently giving me 26-27mpg isnt that sick! :) i am always pretty stoked when i go to the pump hahaha.

Congratulations on finishing HS (especially at 16!!) and getting a new-to-you truck. You've earned it, and that's something to be proud of! B)

hahahah ML i thought you might see my bad spelling (god knows its not hard to miss). My 250 is amazing, I love that bike and its running amazing, just re-packed my exhaust, bled my brakes, checked the valves, took my bike apart and did a super deep cleaning, ect.. and thanks todd & pop i like my setup and i love MX51's as well pop hahah! :) I was glad to see hair stop in, yea my comp is 5yrs old so its been a good computer just having a few corks, which is fine i have definatley made my money on this computer. Very glad to hear from you hair, hope all is well with you and your bike :D I am definatley pretty happy with myself lately.

Race: I had fun but it wasnt even close to the turn out like it was last year, it probably didnt help having a reigonal qualifier going on at pala that i didnt know about. Anyways my bike ran great all day, i missed one of my motos because the announcer didnt call my name for my class like he was doing for everyone else, so that was a bummer. They had to mix classes to get the gates some what full. I was in the novice 250 class, but the gate consisted of:

    250novice
    450pro
    250 intermediate

i got 7th out of 20. i would have probably passed a rider or 2 more if i wouldnt have stuffed the bars in my chest in a loamy corner haha :D Definatley not my best and i hate that i haven't done a race with just people of my class yet. Its always been mix in match. I am talking to my friend scott who races and hes gonna take me to some bigger events over the summer, so we will see how that goes haha. anyways all is well, I always love that rush of being at the gate and its great practice i had a great battle for 6th place but the guy was on a RM250 and kept pulling away in the straights, but i would catch up durning the whoops and some of the corners. i think my dad got some pics of it. anyways i will talk to you guys later! have a great day......alex

Loving the truck. So jealous. BUT, glad to hear your doing well man. And keep us updated on your pit bike build, your gonna make a sick mechanic when you get there.

hahah no problem guys. and yea pop they meet here and there, its not so fun when they meet though lol. Yea the 6 guys in front of me at the race split up into 4 of the only pro guys on 450's (i wasnt even close to catching) and the other 2 were intermediate 250 riders. It was fun, but like i said i am gonna try hard to find just a race with novice to intermediate 250F riders. That will really show where i am at on the skill board of MX. anyways i will post pics when i am done brad with that build. I got the bike for my dad mainly, because i felt bad that he had to sell his bike, so i figured we would bring my 250f, ttr, and my new build to a track one of these days and me and my dad can mess around on the 50's together. My dad just likes riding period so he will like the new pit bike, he didnt care for the TTR to much only because a 6'5 guy just wont work on it hahaha. His knees were basically in his mouth on it. So the new 110 sits higher and it will be more comfortable. :D
