badcoilHi, I split the case on my bike to change the first gear last winter. I put everything back together this spring. The bike started after two kicks. The bike worked very well for about 20 minutes then it shut down by itself.I was in t ewoods so I tried to bump start going down a big hill... it did not work. (blew head gasket while trying to start it) towed back to cottage. What had happened was I had lost spark. I cleaned the connection to the CDI and I had spark again. Started again after 2 kicks, idles well and revs well on the stand although it seems a little lean (a bit of popping on decelaration). Cleaned carb twice, changed gas for fresh gas, tried a different gas/oil mixture (i could not remember if it was 20:1 or 32:1) I'm sticking with 20:1. The problem is as soon as there is any load on it the bike kinda quits... it does not go into the high revs as it did before and even seems low on power on the bottom revs. compression is 120 (like it was when it worked good).Would these be symptoms of a leaking case? :( BTW I used RTV sealant for the seal between the two case halves. 1982 YZ 125
