We want to know what you think is the product of the year for YOU.

What you need to do is tell us what it is and write a very clear and concise reason YOU think it is the best thing since 2007's Leatt's Neck Brace.

And if we pick your suggestion to print, be prepared to get us a picture of yourself for the magazine.

Post away... just follow these instructions:

(Here is an example to follow to make our job easier so we can ride more and edit less.)

    The Widget

I've never run across a better product than the Widget because it made my bike ride on water and allowed me to eat anything I want and not gain a pound. Better yet it made people around me stop in thier tracks and do jumping jacks. Really! I could not have spent my $20 allowance on anything better. I'm buying one for my grandma to put on her handlebar and she doesn't even ride.

42 and good in the woods.

My new sippy cup as shown. I used to spill my beer every where! But with the new (Sippy Supreme) I'm good to go. Yes it costs alittle more but the savings in beer is well worth it!

Here is a pic to save you the trouble with the product, As i'm shure i'v got this one locked up.

Bling is good; and its even better when its actually functional! Sunline has taken the concept of folding levers (which do help greatly in a crash) to the next level by offering offering levers that can fold or flex in two planes instead of one!

    Product: DRD Hour Meter

This product isn't new - not by a long shot - but with the advent of racing 4-strokes, it has become a nearly indespensible tool! It takes the guesswork out of sticking to a maintenance schedule. Oil is changed when it should be (not wasting fresh oil or running it too long), valves are adjusted on schedule, etc... I consider an hour meter on a 4T to be an absolute necessity! First the thumpers showed up at the races. Then, the average Joe started buying them, then the average Joe started blowing them up. Now that we know how critical maintenance is on these (especially valve clearance checks and oil changes), the Hour Meter has come into it's own as the guardian of our expensive-to-rebuild thumpers.

  • Now, I enjoy Uncrustables as much as the next guy, but product of the year? Come on! That's like giving bike of the year the neighbor kid's big wheel. DR.D hour meter is a great vote, but isn't exactly new. Pro Taper pillow top grips are also a solid choice. But for everyone else, hasn't there been something-anything-that has tickled your fancy this year, parts-wise? Dig deep: what tools are you using? What gear have you bought lately? What parts are you bolting on to that g-ride of yours?

I know: the poster who posts the postiest post about product of the year will win a year's supply of Uncrustables, courtesy of ATK kid. Party on!

    KTM
    Flat iron

The KTM flat iron is the best product to date, that I have purchased for changing tires. It is way better than the cheapo 2 for 10$ flat irons. The KTM iron is bigger than the garden variety flat iron. It has the conventional lip on one end and the other end is bowed with a lip. The bowed end provides better leverage especially for prying the tire back onto the rim. One KTM iron is 10$, which is inexpensive compared to a spoon. The KTM iron made changing tires a simple task. It may not be a new product, but it's the best 10$ I have spent on a tool for my dirt bikes.

2008 nofear elektron gear. Solid gear, great quality and breathable. The jersey has mesh fabric in the right places and the pants are just awesome big air scoops and padding on the knees, It's just awesome gear. Also you can move in them really well and they have leather inside the knees that helps grip the bike and pretect you from the pipe.

i just wanted to say that how could the leat win poy. tests have shown thats its more dangerous to wear a leat rather then not wear one. its not easy to brake your neck and when you wreck all the force is put on the plastics piece in the front and it can brake ribs and severly injure you.

This is hard, unlike last year where the Leatt was breaking ground and was something new, 2008 hasn't (to me) produced anything revolutionary for POTY (but maybe I am also forgetting as well).

Maxima SC1 polish. I'm not sure if this came out last year but I did not notice until this one. It works great. It does exactly what it claims on the bottle. For someone who spends hours after a ride cleaning his bike having the best polish is the cherry on top.

I don't need a sippy cup but I have found this beer cozy very useful. This cozy does double duty of keeping my hand warm, and keeping the beer colder. It's made of a thin foam rubber insulation and comes in many different collors and patterns. I chose the American flag pattern to show off my patriotism. This product is great when bench racing after the ride.
