    Does it start?
Can you complete a lap with it?
How much does it weigh, without gas?
    Is it green?
    Does it have aluminum handlebars?
Can you jump doubles with it?

    :)

Is it as light and cheap to fix as a 2 stroke yet?
When riding next to one do I still need to worry about my eardrums bleeding?
Are there any plans on releasing a new KX250 2 stroke with an aluminum frame?

    1. shift quality under load, with and without the clutch
    2. has cornering been improved.
    3. the usual EFI questions, including ease of starting hot and cold

im sure the rest of my list will have to wait until the shootout.

  • Most interested in the following attributes:
    - Steering, is a capable of going under the new under in a turn?
    - Power, do I need a superman cape to ride it? Want a smooth, long and strong powerband. (leave the easy joke opening alone...)
    - Shifting, this is my biggest hang up about the KXF. Will not buy a bike that hits false nuetrals. Would like some real detail on this as it is a great way to lose some teeth.
    - Suspension, is it better or worse than the new Honda.

Plan on putting either the KXF or the CRF in my garage this year. Give me some idea of the KXF by comparison...

  • Can you add a lighting coil to it? How well does it start? Can the turning match the Suzuki? I ride Hare Scrambles and motocross would this bike be good for both? Who is going to have a larger fuel tank for it? When will it be available in dealerships? Thanks!!!

You can't ask those questions. They said they will only be testing it for MX use. We went through this with the CRF last week.

Ditto! Please check the DR Rules & Regulations regarding the questions you are permitted to ask :)

There is a published list of acceptable questions - just copy a section from the list and post it here. LOL!

  • Wait till you see the software that Kawasaki will have available to tune the FI with. It seems pretty advanced and with the some pretty cool pre-programed settings for different conditions, even one for "novice" riders.

There is'nt a "pre set" list of questions. Guys, we're just trying ot keep this portion of the site inforamtive and free of typical web clutter. Ask a reasonable question and we'll try and answer it. Where else are you getting this kind of direct access to bike testing from guys who know what we are talking about? We'll tell you if you are going off topic and understand we test bikes for what they were intended to do.

Screw it with a bunch of usless chatter and it will become as valuable as the chatter itself. Trust me I want this to work but I don't have the time to wade through crap to search out for the guys who really want to learn something. There are plenty of other places to go and flame posts with BS.

    Riding tomorrow...

  • No,
It is because I'd rather ride than bicker over web chatter.

And the interaction specific to the 2009 KX450F has been moved to "The Test" thread.

Sorry for the delay; but between the reminent of Ike (no power/internet) and a family issue I haven't been able to respond.

For the initial tests you can't answer this but over a period of time I'd like to see how well the "average buyer" (whomever that really is...) makes out with EFI. The only local rider with an EFI bike (08 Suzuki RMZ-450) has had nothing but fits. I went from thinking EFI will be great to now not sure.

I am really curious how well the local rider can do and how well they hold up.
